Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Practice Nurse to join our Defence Primary Healthcare team at RAF Odiham. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex health needs, minor injuries, and illnesses.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based, and individualized patient care, including managing chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension.
  • Undertake technical nursing treatments and procedures, such as wound care, sutures removal, and electrocardiograms.
  • Coordinate the development of plans to meet the health needs of patients, including diagnostic tests and treatment plans.
  • Support the development and delivery of specialist services, such as long-term disease management and health promotion.

Requirements

  • Professional and specialist knowledge in primary healthcare acquired through postgraduate degree or diploma.
  • Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessors training.
  • Quality improvement methodology or willingness to undertake training.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
