About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Highly Specialist Speech Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Live Well Service, aligning our out-patient SLT services with the multi-award winning CAVUHB Therapies Rehabilitation model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align the SLT Out-patient service with the Therapies 'Live Well Service', incorporating specific clinical input for individuals with long-term healthcare needs.
  • Work effectively in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, promoting the development, planning, and delivery of intervention programs and training in the specialist clinical area.
  • Provide individual work, group work, and consultation with others to meet the needs of individuals with voice disorders, respiratory disorders, stammering, stroke, and FND.
  • Develop and implement new clinical pathways to provide person-centered and value-based care.
Requirements
  • Speech and Language Therapy Degree
  • HCPC Registration
  • MSc or equivalent, including a post-graduate dysphagia qualification to at least RCSLT level C
  • Evidence of specialist post-graduate CPD/training relevant to the post
  • Significant post-graduate experience of working with voice disorders, respiratory disorders, stammering, stroke, and FND
  • Evidence of working effectively in partnership with others within MDTs and across agencies
