The Consultant Social Worker position is one of two Advanced Practitioner roles in Cornwall, aligned with the Professional Capabilities Framework and the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Practice Supervisors.

Position Overview:

We have exciting full-time opportunities for Consultant Social Workers available throughout the County.

Consultant Social Workers are seasoned professionals who have achieved a level of practitioner excellence. They specialize in areas related to child development, child safety, or similar fields, sharing their expertise with colleagues through mentoring, coaching, and informal supervision. As leaders in practice, they serve as consultants and resources for their specialized areas across the service and with partner organizations.

This role involves public engagement, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector employees is applicable.

This position will require an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

Requirements for Success:

The Consultant Social Worker role necessitates substantial experience in evidence-based practices with children and families, along with significant expertise in this area. Consequently, the salary scale for our Advanced Practitioners is equivalent to that of our Team Managers.
