Position Overview

We are excited to announce a vacancy for a Consultancy Specialist focused on Implementation Solutions within our esteemed RBCG Consultancy Team.

The RBCG Consultancy Team consists of experts with in-depth knowledge of systems and services, particularly in NEC's Central and Local Government Revenues & Benefits solutions, Data Migration Services, and Systems Integration.

The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in one or more of NEC's RBCG offerings to enhance the team's capabilities while also being eager to share and expand their knowledge.

This role reports directly to the RBCG Consultancy Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality consultancy and training for NEC clients in the Government sector.
  • Enhance team capabilities by mentoring and training colleagues in your areas of expertise while acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Provide consultancy and training on-site and through virtual platforms.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations for participants as required.
  • Contribute to the creation of new consultancy services for newly developed software and offerings.
  • Advise on optimal use of NEC software aligned with client business objectives.
  • Ensure effective delivery of consultancy and training, achieving positive feedback from clients.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and relay any issues to the consultancy group and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Maximize billable utilization rates.
  • Assist in product development by participating in user groups and creating user documentation.
  • Develop and maintain training programs for customers and internal teams.
  • Deliver impactful seminars to large audiences.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and NEC products and services.
  • Enhance the capacity of yourself and team members to deliver consultancy through internal training and mentorship.
  • Be adaptable to support management decisions and assist in related areas such as product management, business analysis, testing, or support as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience in data manipulation for database systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with clients and external organizations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on concurrent projects.
  • Valid UK Driving License and willingness to travel as necessary.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in configuring and implementing NEC Revenues and Benefits system modules.
  • Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Revenues (Council Tax and/or Non-Domestic Rates) or Benefits (CTR and/or HB).
  • Working knowledge of ORACLE SQL and/or PL/SQL.
  • Experience with UNIX systems.
