About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Private Client Director to join our team at Higgs LLP. As a key member of our Private Client department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients and contributing to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Advise on Estate Planning Documentation
    • Review existing estate planning documentation, including lifetime trusts and will structures, to ensure they meet our clients' needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and Advise on Wills and Trusts
    • Prepare all types of wills, including wills that absorb qualifying business assets and agricultural assets, and provide expert advice on the role of trusts for asset protection purposes.
  • Expertise in Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax
    • Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of inheritance tax and capital gains tax, including their application to individuals and trusts.
  • Advisory Services
    • Advise clients on pilot trusts associated with pension planning and life policies, and provide guidance on the implications of these arrangements.
  • Team Leadership and Support
    • Provide supervision and support to more junior team members, contributing to bi-monthly file reviews and ensuring the smooth delivery of client work.
  • Business Development and Growth
    • Assist in the implementation of the departmental business plan and the firm's business plan, contributing to the growth of our Private Client business and developing a professional following to lead to new work streams.
  • Professional Profile and Reputation
    • Maintain a strong profile and network within the business community, establishing and promoting Higgs LLP as a leading provider of Private Client services.
