Job Description

Role Purpose:

  • Review and advise on existing estate planning documentation, including lifetime trusts and will structures.
  • Prepare and advise on various types of wills, including those to absorb qualifying business assets and agricultural assets.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive understanding of inheritance tax and its implications.
  • Provide expert advice on capital gains tax in the context of individuals and trusts.
  • Assist with the preparation and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and old style Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Deal with the termination of trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the private client team to support clients on all aspects of wealth work.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior team members on their wealth caseloads.
  • Ensure efficient administration, billing, and cost recovery, meeting agreed targets.
  • Conduct regular reviews of debts, work in progress, and disbursements.
  • Assist in implementing the departmental business plan and the firm's business plan.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Confident to take responsibility and lead on client matters.
  • Able to deliver work in line with deadlines.
  • Uphold an excellent reputation and act as a role model to others.
