Our London- and Manchester-based support teams are the backbone of our operations, providing our site teams with the resources and support they need to deliver outstanding results.
We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our North region, reporting directly to the Head of Site Operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for motivating and guiding your team to deliver a safe, clean, welcoming, and vibrant environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing teams across the region
- Communicate effectively with regional stakeholders, ensuring clarity on roles and responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits to track performance and provide coaching and feedback
- Manage the performance of the regional team, focusing on reward and recognition, and addressing underperformance promptly
- Ensure all mandatory and role-based training is up-to-date across the region
- Develop a talent matrix and succession plan to ensure high performance in the team
- Build a culture of high standards of compliance, working closely with HAST & Estates
- Host regular meetings with key stakeholders and the team to ensure best practice and compliance
- Achieve high compliance through the HAST audit scheme, exceeding benchmarks
- Ensure site teams are fully staffed with 'Keyholder' trained iQers and have adequate MHFA trained staff
- React to and own incidents across the region, ensuring prompt resolution
- Conduct iQQi audits to ensure teams are delivering the brand standard and operations compliance
- Engage with regional HAST / ESTATES & ASSET teams to ensure iQ properties are on brand and fit for customers
- Develop asset plans with the asset team to evolve the iQ Proposition to meet future customer needs
- Ensure site teams deliver operations standards of iQ HOW
- Lead the team to deliver an NPS score and move-in/move-out results exceeding company targets
- Ensure response times are met across all sites and escalations are owned and resolved in the region
- Own the roll-out of initiatives from central functions across all sites
- Ensure all sites are rated 4* and above across review platforms like Google and StudentCrowd
- Hold weekly trade review meetings within the region
- Attend meetings with University partners to foster long-term relationships
- Proven track record of managing large, multi-skilled teams
- Experience in financial management and budget control
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on experience obsession
- Project management skills with the ability to lead change/continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable management and leadership skills to recruit, lead, direct, evaluate, and manage team members to achieve high performance
