About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Activation Director to join our dynamic marketing team at Assembly.

The ideal candidate will develop, execute, and optimize media strategies to achieve our client's marketing and business goals. This role requires a highly skilled digital leader who is a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of digital media channels, tools, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Digital Media Planning: Develop, implement, and optimize media strategies across various channels, including search, social, display, video, and programmatic.
  • Manage Budgets: Oversee and lead the execution of digital media campaigns, ensuring the team is not over or underspending digital campaign budgets.
  • Client Strategic Lead: Act as the client strategic lead to define frameworks that hit our client's KPIs and business objectives.
  • Team Management: Provide strong leadership and inspiration for your team - direct and indirect reports.
  • Quality Control: Monitor quality control on daily workflow and ensure all processes are followed within your team.
  • Compliance: Drive stewardship and compliance across markets that are aligned with approved processes and governance within the agency.
  • Media Channel Expertise: Ensure the team is identifying key audience segments and determining the most effective media channels to reach them.
  • Integration: Ensure role and attribution of channels is understood in the wider marketing mix by keeping abreast of developments across platforms and constantly encouraging integration with senior personnel.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with external agencies, media vendors, and technology partners.
  • Emerging Trends: Act as an internal expert on emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities across channel specialist and emerging platforms.
Requirements
  • Strong Leadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Digital Media Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital media channels, tools, and best practices.
  • Technical Competence: Must be technically competent in Google Analytics 4, Paid social (META, TikTok, Snapchat at minimum), and Paid search (Google) ad management suits, up-to-date certifications required.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of developing and executing successful media campaigns.
  • Additional Skills: Beneficial experience or knowledge of running or managing digital marketing activity across other channels (e.g. Programmatic, Display, SEO, etc).
  • Dynamic Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
