Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will have the chance to join a prominent manufacturing organization that prioritizes innovation and development. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and overseeing the automation processes for various machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities - Automation Engineer

Your role will involve programming PLCs from leading manufacturers, including Schneider, Siemens, Proface, and B&R. You will also need to work closely with the IT department to ensure the smooth integration of automation technologies.

Ideal Candidate - Automation Engineer

To be successful in this position, you should possess experience with SIEMENS (Step7, WinCC, TIA portal), SCHNEIDER (PL7, Unity, VijeoDesigner, SoMachine), and B&R (automation studio). Knowledge of frequency drives from DANFOSS, SEW, and SCHNEIDER, as well as HMI systems like Proface, is crucial. Familiarity with robotics, especially Fanuc, and the ability to interpret schematics using SEE Electrical Expert will be beneficial.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently, exhibit flexibility in their working hours, and proactively seek practical solutions to technical issues. Strong communication skills are essential for articulating challenges and potential solutions to colleagues with varying levels of programming expertise. A solid understanding of industry regulations to ensure compliance is also required.

Working Hours & Benefits - Automation Engineer

This position offers flexible working hours, adhering to standard office hours, with a commitment of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is competitive, reaching up to £60,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience), with additional pay for overtime and Sunday work (£36 per hour for overtime and £48 per hour for Sundays).
