Key Responsibilities - Automation Engineer
Your role will involve programming PLCs from leading manufacturers, including Schneider, Siemens, Proface, and B&R. Collaboration with the IT department will be essential to ensure the smooth integration of automation technologies within the facility.
Ideal Candidate Profile - Automation Engineer
The successful candidate will possess substantial experience with SIEMENS (Step7, WinCC, TIA portal), SCHNEIDER (PL7, Unity, VijeoDesigner, SoMachine), and B&R (automation studio). A solid understanding of frequency drives from DANFOSS, SEW, and SCHNEIDER, along with HMI systems such as Proface, is required. Familiarity with robotics, particularly Fanuc, and the ability to interpret schematics using SEE Electrical Expert will be advantageous.
To excel in this position, you must demonstrate the ability to work independently, exhibit flexibility in your working hours, and proactively address technical challenges with practical solutions. Strong communication skills are vital for articulating issues and potential resolutions to colleagues with varying levels of programming expertise. Additionally, a comprehensive understanding of industry regulations is necessary to ensure compliance in all automation activities.
Working Hours & Compensation - Automation Engineer
This role offers flexible working hours, aligned with standard office operations, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The salary for this position is competitive, reaching up to £60,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience), with additional pay for overtime and Sunday shifts (£36 per hour for overtime and £48 per hour for Sundays).
