About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Team Manager to join our Family Safeguarding Service in Luton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality children's social services across the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, support, and safeguard children at risk of harm, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks such as assessments, care planning, and child protection, with a primary goal of preventing family separation wherever possible.
  • Help children reach their potential by prioritizing their welfare and recommending interventions as needed.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the team to maintain high standards of social work practice, supporting team members in their professional growth and ensuring effective outcomes for children.
About You

We are looking for a passionate, driven individual with in-depth post-qualifying experience and a background in managing, mentoring, and coaching staff. You should have strong leadership skills, be able to inspire a team, and ensure high performance.

  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Substantial professional social work experience.
