We are seeking a Assistant Project Manager to become a vital part of our Infrastructure HPC team.

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Contract: Full time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role within the HPC team, focusing on the development of permanent roads and networks that connect essential structures, facilitating the commissioning and operational readiness of the power station. Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Assisting in the application and oversight of Performance Excellence and Health & Safety standards in line with Kier's protocols.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of all labor, equipment, materials, and supply chain resources while identifying opportunities for improvement. Collaborating with the Commercial Team to create financial forecasts and conduct final cost and value assessments.
  • Encouraging collaborative efforts among project members to foster a unified team spirit, including the growth and development of team members.
  • Taking full responsibility for the financial management of your project segment, ensuring stringent control over Target Costs, actual expenditures, and forecasts through commercial insight and utilizing site-based systems.

  • You possess relevant qualifications, such as a degree or equivalent experience.
  • You have strong communication and project management abilities, including experience in leading and managing technical teams.
  • You can effectively manage client relationships.
  • You are capable of defining project requirements and guiding the team to achieve objectives related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • You demonstrate excellent leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
