About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENCO to join our team at an outstanding primary school in London. As a SENCO, you will be responsible for leading the school's special educational needs provision, working closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the development and implementation of the school's SEN policy and provision
- Coordinating and managing the school's SEN budget
- Working with teachers and support staff to identify and support students with special educational needs
- Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
- Collaborating with external agencies, such as the local authority and health services, to ensure that students receive the support they need
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree
- SENCO qualification or strong desire to gain one
- Excellent knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and Primary Curriculum
- Experience of working with students with special educational needs
