Primary SENCO Role for Outstanding School

We are seeking an experienced and qualified SENCO to join our team at an outstanding primary school in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in special educational needs and be able to provide high-quality support to students and staff.

About the Role:

The SENCO will be responsible for carrying out normal SENCO duties, including sorting through EHCPs, carrying out 1:1 assessments of children, and assisting with the administrative side of the role. The ideal candidate will have experience with EHCPs and a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and Primary Curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree (NASENCO)
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
