About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Web Developer to join our team at Innserve Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our bespoke PHP-based intranet and API.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience.
  • Develop server-side logic and manage databases to ensure robust performance and secure data handling.
  • Take responsibility for developing our API, integrating third-party services, and optimizing our intranet for speed and scalability.
  • Write and implement quality and reliable code, while also debugging and resolving technical issues across the entire application stack.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in PHP programming language.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap and jQuery.
  • A strong understanding of web development principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in database management and SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure servers and services.
  • Proficiency in managing and optimizing SQL Server databases.
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL Database management and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of database design, optimization, and query performance tuning.
  • Ability to debug and optimize code for performance and scalability.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in web development.
  • Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in the web development ecosystem.
  • Prior experience with maintaining and modernizing in-house built web applications.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary from £30,000-£35,000 per annum, negotiable on experience, with a bonus/incentive scheme.
  • 23 days annual leave per year plus 8 bank holidays = 31 days per year in total.

Work Environment

Our team is based in Tadcaster and we offer a hybrid remote work arrangement. You will be working on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift.
