Credit Control Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee a dedicated team of Credit Controllers, fostering exemplary behaviors and achieving collective objectives to enhance the team's overall effectiveness.
• Evaluate performance metrics to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses within the ledger and team output, presenting insights to the Head of Operations.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and ensure personalized development plans are established for each team member.
• Engage confidently with internal stakeholders to facilitate service delivery and manage associated risks.
• Proactively seek to improve customer satisfaction through process evaluations and training initiatives for colleagues.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements through process modifications, including needs assessment, planning, training, and implementation.
• Support research efforts for innovative technologies that can transform efficiency across various functions.

Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in leadership and Credit Control.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Invoice Finance, with relevant experience preferred.
• Capability to drive operational changes at both tactical and strategic levels.
• Proficient in resolving operational challenges, knowing whom to contact, and when to escalate issues.
• Strong communication skills across all levels, with the ability to cultivate and enhance stakeholder relationships.
• Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as interaction with clients is a key aspect of the role.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on driving performance and enhancing employee satisfaction scores.
• Attention to detail with a proven track record of identifying trends and resolving issues.
• Awareness of the risks inherent in the role and their implications for yourself, Metro Bank, and all stakeholders.
