**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Water Adoptions Site Inspector/Engineer to join our team at Advanced Water Infrastructure Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that developers install adoptable waste water infrastructure to an acceptable standard.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Liaise with developers to ensure that they install the adoptable waste water infrastructure to an acceptable standard.
  • Inspect and survey drains and sewers as they are laid, taking responsibility for and ensuring that the pipes are laid according to approved plans.
  • Identify any defects and ensure they are rectified.
  • Produce inspection reports and identify any remedial works required relating to the adoption of new drainage assets from the developer.
  • Provide support to the Head of Waste Water on all regional waste water adoption enquiries.
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting for all waste water adoption activities.
  • Lead on new assets handover, ensuring all relevant records, agreements and contracts are in place.
  • Carry out pre-maintenance inspections, provide snagging lists and carry out final inspections prior to final adoption.
  • Attend air/water tests on new sewer installations to ensure they pass.
  • Advise on engineering solutions with developers when complicated installations arise.
  • Liaise closely with ground workers and site agents.
  • Risk assess all situations on site to ensure Health & Safety is not compromised.
  • Assess new and innovative materials/ideas and implement and offer as a solution on site, providing it does not compromise our position.
  • Develop policies and processes for adoption and ongoing maintenance of sites.

**Requirements**

  • Experience of working in the water industry (in particular waste water) with a good understanding of the S104 Adoption process.
  • Regulatory knowledge and standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, with a good attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
  • Good computer and reporting skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of design and installation of wastewater distribution networks.
