Position Overview

Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and infrastructure development? We have an exciting opportunity within our Waste Water division. This role involves working in various locations across the UK, focusing on the adoption of waste water systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Waste Water Adoption Specialist, your primary duty will be to collaborate with developers to ensure the installation of adoptable waste water systems meets industry standards.

Your role will include significant fieldwork, where you will:

  • Conduct site visits to inspect and assess the installation of drainage and sewer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with approved plans and identify any issues that need addressing.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommend necessary remedial actions for the adoption of new drainage assets.

Additional Duties:
In addition to the core responsibilities, you will also:

  • Support the Waste Water management team with regional adoption inquiries.
  • Assist in financial planning and forecasting for waste water adoption initiatives.
  • Oversee the handover of new assets, ensuring all documentation and agreements are properly executed.
  • Perform pre-maintenance inspections and compile snagging lists prior to final adoption.
  • Conduct air and water tests on new sewer installations to ensure compliance.
  • Provide engineering advice to developers for complex installations.
  • Work closely with construction teams and site managers.
  • Conduct risk assessments to uphold Health & Safety standards on site.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative materials and solutions that align with our operational standards.
  • Develop and refine policies for the adoption and maintenance of waste water systems.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in the water sector, particularly in waste water management, with a solid understanding of the S104 Adoption process and relevant regulatory standards.

Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  • Strong initiative and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to adapt and learn.
  • Proficient computer and reporting skills.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of the design and implementation of waste water distribution systems.
