About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Water Adoptions Site Inspector/Engineer to join our team at Advanced Utility Networks. As a key member of our Waste Water team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the adoption of new drainage assets from developers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and survey drains and sewers as they are laid, ensuring they meet approved plans and identifying any defects.
  • Produce inspection reports and identify remedial works required for the adoption of new drainage assets.
  • Provide support to the Head of Waste Water on regional waste water adoption enquiries.
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting for waste water adoption activities.
  • Lead on new assets handover, ensuring all relevant records, agreements, and contracts are in place.
  • Carry out pre-maintenance inspections, provide snagging lists, and conduct final inspections prior to final adoption.
  • Attend air/water tests on new sewer installations to ensure they pass.
  • Advise on engineering solutions with developers for complicated installations.
  • Liaise closely with ground workers and site agents.
  • Risk assess all situations on site to ensure Health & Safety is not compromised.
  • Assess new and innovative materials/ideas and implement them as solutions on site, provided they do not compromise our position.
  • Develop policies and processes for adoption and ongoing maintenance of sites.
Requirements
  • Experience working in the water industry, particularly in waste water, with a good understanding of the S104 Adoption process.
  • Regulatory knowledge and standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative with a good attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
  • Good computer and reporting skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of design and installation of wastewater distribution networks.
