Job Overview

The Deputy Chief Custodian role is a key position within the Safe Deposit team at Selfridges. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our Safe Deposit customers and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle safe deposit box visits and ensure a secure and discreet environment for customers.
  • Open new Safe Deposit Box contracts and maintain existing contracts, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Oversee safe deposit box contract queries and reset procedures, providing timely and accurate solutions.
  • Evaluate customer issues and requests, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Identify and understand customer needs, consistently meeting expectations and exceeding them when possible.
  • Immerse in the Selfridges Communities and Networks, embodying the company's values and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Assist with the training and induction of new team members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Be aware of additional services offered and proactively suggest them to customers when relevant.
  • Ensure adherence to all processes and procedures, including till procedures, security, health and safety, and compliance policies.
  • Hold regular team briefings to update on service targets, promotions, and company news.

About You

  • You will have a good understanding of the Safe Deposit process and be knowledgeable about competitors' policies and services.
  • You will possess strong customer service skills, prioritizing customer needs and building trust and loyalty.
  • You will be a proactive team member, collaborating with the wider team and building relationships quickly.
  • You will be a great communicator, able to effectively interact with customers, team members, and managers.
  • You will be pacey, positive, and flexible, responsive to business needs and willing to take responsibility for tasks.
