Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our software engineering division, you will play a crucial role in shaping our software strategy across diverse computing domains, including data centers, automotive, mobile, robotics, networking, and IoT. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the adoption of innovative features and trends in core processing and system hardware, with a strong emphasis on enhancing security, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Grasping the nuances of new Arm architecture and IP features, assessing their implementation, and understanding their implications for existing software components and tools. You will strategize on how to advocate for their advantages within software ecosystems and troubleshoot challenges that may arise during their integration.
- Conducting thorough analyses and gaining in-depth knowledge of software solutions currently in use, particularly focusing on major open-source projects like Linux.
- Contributing software enhancements back to relevant open-source initiatives, serving as a reference for customers to develop their own systems.
- Collaborating with Arm's OS, OEM, and Silicon Partners to establish standards that facilitate the optimization and rapid evolution of Arm's Partner model.
- Innovating new software paradigms on Arm reference hardware designs.
- Evaluating system performance and devising innovative methods for improvement.
- Leading the validation process for functionality, security, and safety.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient understanding of Arm-based computer architecture and the spectrum of SoCs and devices utilizing Arm hardware IP.
- Experience in software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization for real-world applications, including AI stacks and multimedia processing.
- Strong grasp of complex multi-component computing systems, with proven experience in low-level OS/device driver development or integration.
- Advanced knowledge of C or C++ development, with a focus on optimizing applications and workloads.
- Familiarity with rigorous software testing methodologies and designing software for testability.
- Comprehensive experience throughout the software lifecycle, from concept through production and maintenance.

Education & Qualifications:
A solid university degree (or equivalent), preferably in a numerate discipline, although candidates with significant experience in other fields will also be considered.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with Android, ChromeOS, or Windows software and systems.
- Experience with Linux, cloud/edge applications, and networking software.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence software stacks, algorithms, and tools.
- Understanding of multimedia system designs involving GPUs and image signal processing.
- Awareness of System-on-a-Chip architectures.
