Family Support Specialist

Role Overview
The Family Support Specialist will work with families and young people in a variety of settings, including their homes, schools, and community environments. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality support and services to families and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance to families and young people in a variety of settings, including their homes, schools, and community environments.
- Work with families and young people to identify and address their needs, and develop and implement individual plans to support their well-being and development.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure that families and young people receive comprehensive and coordinated support.
- Provide training and support to families and young people on a range of topics, including parenting, child development, and life skills.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of families and young people, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
- Work with families and young people to develop and implement individual plans to support their well-being and development.
- Provide support and guidance to families and young people in a variety of settings, including their homes, schools, and community environments.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure that families and young people receive comprehensive and coordinated support.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with families and young people from diverse backgrounds and with a range of needs.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development, and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
- Ability to develop and implement individual plans to support the well-being and development of families and young people.
- Knowledge of community resources and services, and the ability to connect families and young people with these resources.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Arrangements
The Family Support Specialist will work a standard full-time schedule, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. The role will be based in a community setting, with some travel to other locations as needed.
