Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Organizational Skills: You will need to demonstrate effective organizational skills, prioritizing your work and meeting deadlines while managing your time efficiently.
  • Teamwork: You will work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the achievement of our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Assessment and Intervention: You will be required to assess and intervene with young people and their families, devising and implementing individual plans based on effective assessments.
  • Reporting: You will need to write comprehensive, succinct, and analytical reports for panels and meetings, demonstrating your ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Communication: You will communicate effectively with a range of people, including families, young people, and colleagues, in various forums, including face-to-face, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Meeting Chairing: You will chair meetings and follow up on agreed actions, demonstrating your ability to lead and manage discussions effectively.
  • Interventions: You will deliver one-to-one interventions and group-based interventions, working with families and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Training and Development: You will be willing to undertake appropriate training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • IT Skills: You will have sufficient IT skills to produce data, information, and reports using Microsoft Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and email.
  • Experience: You will have experience of working with children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and families with complex needs or at risk of becoming a child in care.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Setting: You will have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting, ideally with a range of professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Evidence-Based Interventions: You will have experience of delivering evidence-based interventions and programs, demonstrating your ability to work effectively with families and young people.
  • Safeguarding and Vulnerability: You will demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding and vulnerability, including the ability to identify and manage risks effectively.
  • Guidance and Policy: You will have an understanding of guidance and policy related to Early Help, including the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
  • Culturally Sensitive Services: You will understand the importance of promoting culturally sensitive services to diverse communities, demonstrating your ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Anti-Oppressive Practice: You will demonstrate a commitment to anti-oppressive practice, working to challenge and address inequalities and discrimination.
  • Child and Adolescent Development: You will have an understanding of child and adolescent development, including the ability to apply this knowledge in practice to support families and young people.
