The Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service and Sales Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small but busy team, contributing to the development of the Folk Hall as a community hub for New Earswick.
The successful candidate will provide a full and supportive administration service, managing bookings for formal meetings, celebratory events, and community events, as well as reception work, post office counter services, and assisting the Folk Hall Managers and Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the venue and its program of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and customers
- Manage bookings and events for the Folk Hall
- Assist with reception duties, including answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Operate the post office counter, handling cash and transactions
- Support the Folk Hall Managers and Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the venue
Requirements:
- Experience of office-based administrative processes and practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a foundation of good customer service
- Cash handling experience and dealing with customers in a retail setting
- Ability to manage and prioritize a range of different tasks at any one time
- Accuracy in cash handling and being numerate
