Job Overview

Purpose of the Role:

Engaging in food preparation and culinary production within a designated outlet, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and variety in food offerings are consistently met.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Contribute to achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the operational framework.

Operational Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef and culinary team with food preparation and production for various meal services, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and buffets, ensuring compliance with established operating standards.
  • Guarantee that food production and service meet specified requirements and standards as directed by the senior chef on duty.
  • Support the receipt and proper storage of goods deliveries, adhering to control systems and standards at all times.
  • Take personal responsibility for Food Hygiene and Health and Safety in food production and service, consistently following legal compliance and best practices.
  • Help maintain equipment and machinery to the required hygiene and safety standards.
  • Engage in professional communication with colleagues in the workplace.
  • Participate in regular catering staff forums with colleagues.

Company Overview

Full Time: 40 hours per week

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Qualifications
  • Professional Cookery Qualifications (minimum) City and Guilds 706/1 or equivalent NVQ.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Qualification (Desirable).
  • Level 2 Health & Safety Qualification (Desirable).
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable).

Required Skills and Experience

  • Relevant culinary skills acquired in a similar environment.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Understanding of enhanced security and vetting procedures.
