Your Role.

As a Bid Manager within the BES Electrical sales team, you will collaborate with leading technical experts, chartered engineers, and seasoned project managers to produce a cohesive and compelling final bid that meets scoring criteria.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating, drafting, and crafting detailed PQQ/ITT responses that align with the specifications and deadlines.
  • Managing PQQ and ITT responses in a centralized repository and conducting Lessons Learned activities on tenders.
  • Utilizing local insights, research, and writing styles to tailor bids to specific audiences, ensuring they are evidence-based and innovative, as guided by organizational experts and best practices.
  • Providing structured formats and content for team contributors, ensuring quality assurance, consistency, and grammatical accuracy, while offering constructive feedback to enhance clarity and relevance.
  • Submitting bids for internal review to adhere to quality assurance and governance protocols.
  • Overseeing the bid pipeline and regularly updating the Head of Sales on timelines.
  • Collaborating across the organization to support Sector leaders based on tender activities, ensuring a unified approach to bids.
  • Delivering training on bid best practices, processes, and quality standards.
  • Assisting Business Development with additional tasks as needed.

What You Need.

  • Proven experience in crafting successful bid submissions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong IT skills.
  • Excellent proofreading abilities with a keen attention to detail, ensuring adherence to word/page limits.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build credible collaborative relationships.
