About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing professional quantity surveying services on construction projects and schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake feasibility studies and cost option appraisals to inform decision-making on budgets, specifications, and time scales.
  • Provide estimates, cost planning, procurement, and contract advice to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Prepare tender documentation and assess the risk of identified works to make recommendations for prioritization of budgets.
  • Present and discuss cost information with senior managers, head of services, and client departments to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Cost monitor project budgets and prepare background information and reports for negotiation and settlement of contract claims.
  • Agree final accounts and manage contract orders on the EPROC system for the cost and contract manager.
Requirements
  • Quantity surveying degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • Membership of a property chartered institute (RICS or CIOB) or working towards.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: £44,428-£48,474.
  • Hybrid working arrangement: 2 days per week in the office.
  • Flexible working hours: 7-7.
