Licensing Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Officer to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our Private Hire Vehicle Licensing department, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing of applications for licenses, permits, and registrations.
Key Responsibilities- Application Processing: Assist in the efficient and effective operation of Licensing Services by processing applications for licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Customer Service: Provide an efficient and responsive customer service, offering advice and information to the public, local businesses, and other council officers on license activities carried out by Licensing Services.
- Record Keeping: Operate and maintain accurate records, registers, and statistics using both manual and computer systems.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls and personal enquiries, and prepare and provide standard/routine letters and memoranda as required.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports to appropriate officers and Members as needed.
- Adaptability: Be willing to undertake duties outside normal office hours or as directed by the Head of Service in accordance with the agreed work pattern and Council's Conditions of Service.
- Professional Development: Participate in staff development, appraisal, and training as appropriate, including continuous professional development.
- Compliance: Comply with the Council's agreed policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and Financial Management Regulations.
