About the Role

Serco is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Housing Officer to join our team in the Midlands region. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) and providing high-quality support to asylum seekers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly inspections of properties within the allocated portfolio to ensure they meet AASC standards.
  • Manage the on-boarding and withdrawal of properties within the allocated portfolio.
  • Report property faults and complete minor repairs as necessary.
  • Administer operational cash for tasks such as topping up utility meters and emergency cash payments.
  • Respond to customer complaints and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Criminal Record Bureau checks are required for this role.
  • Valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
