Housing Officer for Asylum Accommodation and Support Services

About the Role

Serco is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Officer to join our team in the Midlands region. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) and providing high-quality support to asylum seekers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with AASC standards
  • Manage on-boarding and withdrawal of properties within allocated portfolio
  • Report property faults and complete minor repairs
  • Administer operational cash for tasks such as utility meter topping up and emergency cash payments
  • Respond to customer complaints

Requirements

  • Criminal Record Bureau checks are required
  • Valid UK driving licence is essential
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
