Job Title: Licensing Officer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensing Officer to join our team at Adecco UK Limited. As a key member of our Private Hire Vehicle Licensing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our licensing services.

Job Purpose and Role:

Under the guidance of the Section Leader, you will assist in the processing of applications for licenses, permits, and registrations. Your duties will include:

  1. Contributing to the efficient operation of Licensing Services
  2. Ensuring accurate fee collection and record-keeping
  3. Providing excellent customer service to the public, local businesses, and council officers
  4. Processing and issuing applications for licenses and registrations
  5. Maintaining accurate records and statistics
  6. Answering telephone calls and personal enquiries
  7. Preparing and sending routine letters and memoranda
  8. Attending meetings and conferences as required
  9. Preparing and presenting reports to relevant officers and members
  10. Performing duties outside normal office hours as needed
  11. Acting in accordance with the Council's Constitution and Codes of Conduct
  12. Participating in staff development, appraisal, and training
  13. Complying with Council policies and procedures
  14. Undertaking additional tasks as directed
