Your Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Breathe at a pivotal moment. Having demonstrated the effectiveness of our products in both automotive and consumer electronics sectors, we are expanding our engineering team to introduce Breathe products into new customer applications. You will lead systems engineering initiatives for client projects, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the battery industry to design and implement our latest software into embedded products developed by leading automotive and device manufacturers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the systems engineering team, applying best practices in customer projects and product development.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, breakdown, and architecture design in Jama for client projects, ensuring that information is current and that Jama is effectively utilized by the team.
  • Engage with clients to define requirements, translate customer needs into internal specifications, and create test cases to validate requirements while maintaining traceability in Jama.
  • Enhance our Systems Engineering practices, focusing on process automation.
  • Generate and maintain documentation of our Systems Engineering practices and deliverables as per client expectations.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead a team in adhering to best systems engineering practices and identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Experience in requirements management and verification/validation within a dynamic, regulated environment (e.g., automotive/aerospace).
  • A history of implementing effective systems engineering in a streamlined manner, minimizing unnecessary overhead while maximizing business value.
  • A proactive approach to optimizing and automating all aspects of work.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with kindness and consideration.
