Position Overview

Our client is in search of a seasoned Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team as they transition from prototype development to full-scale production.

The electric vehicles being developed are designed for both on-road and off-road capabilities, presenting unique developmental challenges.

However, they benefit from rapid feedback cycles, comprehensive data collection, and an iterative development methodology.

Your role will involve designing and constructing electrical systems that require custom components such as harnesses and high/low voltage integrations.

You will collaborate with procurement teams to ensure suppliers meet specifications, establishing robust verification, testing, and installation procedures.

In the upcoming months, the company aims to significantly increase production capacity and the number of vehicles available in the market, necessitating a strategic approach to processes as they shift to batch production.

While still in the development phase, they have established a solid foundation of real-world data and user feedback to guide decision-making.

You will serve as a vital link between various cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the overall roadmap.

This is an early-stage start-up environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential for delivering results.

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience in EV electrical architecture systems.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams effectively.
  • Experience in designing testing and release processes in previous roles.
  • Familiarity with Matlab Simulink and Vector Canape; proficiency in Simulink is essential, and training on Canape will be provided.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
  • Understanding of engineering principles within an Agile framework.
  • Willingness to work onsite 2-3 days a week.
