Forseven is a pioneering company that is revolutionizing the electric vehicle industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices. We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Principal Engineer to join our Electrical Systems team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to successfully deliver electrical systems for various product lines within the business.
  • Technical ownership of electrical systems through engineering, development, integration, and validation of electrical modules into the overall vehicle electrical architecture.
  • Own commodity attributes such as quality, costs, timing, homologation, weight, and ensure they are within business targets.
  • Own engineering sign-off of electrical components through the development process of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Test & Validation, EMC, FuSa, and Cyber Security.
  • Work closely with other departments such as quality, manufacturing, purchasing, programs, logistics, service, and workshops.
  • Manage and lead team through their career development and regular mentoring.
  • Represent the Electrical Systems team in status meetings and engineering reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive electrical systems development.
  • Excellent understanding of automotive new product development process, milestones, and deliverables for each phase.
  • Demonstrable experience of electrical component development and manufacture for multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive Ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Working knowledge of relevant homologation standards, ISO26262, and EuroNCAP.
  • Understanding of functional safety and cyber security requirements for a global market vehicle.
  • Notable experience in using various engineering development tools and collaborative platforms.
  • Honor's degree in electrical and electronics or similar areas such as electronics, control systems, or automotive.
  • Additional professional qualifications of leadership, managerial skills, and project management are desired.
  • Possession of a full driving license is essential.
  • Articulate, self-motivated, and able to work well on own initiative to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent skills in managing teams through various phases of the project, high-pressure work environment, flexible working policies, and multiple work locations.
  • Team leader, build constructive relationships, and be able to collaborate with others and build One-Team.
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking mindset to create reports and metrics with supporting data.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of business internally and externally with partners and suppliers.
  • Positive but flexible attitude to achieve business goals and milestones.
