Electrical Systems Engineer

Forseven is at the forefront of the electric vehicle sector, committed to transforming transportation through advanced technology and innovative engineering methodologies. We are currently in search of an Electrical Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our energetic Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a group of design engineers to ensure the successful delivery of harness designs and electrical component arrangements.
  • Offer expert advice on design and packaging challenges.
  • Act as the representative for the Electrical team during review sessions.
  • Utilize Catia V5/V6 for the design of wiring harnesses.
  • Administer the Bill of Materials (BOM) content.
  • Facilitate internal meetings and evaluations.
  • Assist in design review discussions with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain a CAD database as required.
  • Track and manage design issues through a systematic approach.
  • Create detailed 2D drawings.
  • Support mechanical tasks and assembly processes.
  • Take ownership of designs from initial concept through to production.
  • Engage in reviews with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
  • Establish fixation strategies for components.
  • Oversee Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) and component readiness via the platform.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of the Automotive New Product Development Process.
  • Proven experience in automotive wiring harness design and power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and components.
  • Expertise in designing for electrical and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance.
  • Understanding of electric vehicle architectures.
  • Significant experience with CATIA V5/V6 software.
  • Background in circuit design and electrical packaging.
  • Proficient in interpreting 2D drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in managing design modifications.
  • Knowledge of system/component delivery frameworks.
  • Experience in harness testing and validation processes.
  • Ability to effectively utilize engineering tools and collaborative platforms.
