Social Care Charges Assessment Consultant

Service Care Solutions is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Adult Social Care Financial Review Specialist. This position involves conducting a comprehensive assessment of the charging structures established by the Council's Adult Social Care Charging Policy, in accordance with the legal framework of the Care Act 2014, for both residential and non-residential services.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Adult Social Care Financial Review Specialist, your duties will include:
1. Investigating various aspects of current charging practices, including:
- Identifying which services incur charges
- Analyzing the application and interpretation of the Care Act 2014 regarding service charges
- Evaluating the established rates for chargeable services, ensuring full cost recovery and benchmarking against other local authorities
- Reviewing the current Adult Social Care Charging Policy of Cambridgeshire County Council
2. Preparing a detailed report that:
- Considers Disability Related Expenditure and compares practices with other local authorities
- Addresses the implications of the cost-of-living crisis and highlights available support from various organizations
3. Making informed recommendations for the local authority regarding:
- The application of the charging policy
- Opportunities to enhance support for individuals
- Strategies for maximizing local authority income opportunities
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014
- Enhanced DBS clearance
