About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to take on a leadership role in our Paediatric Emergency Department. As a Paediatric Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients and their families, while also supporting the development of our team and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to infants, children, and young people who attend the Emergency Department.
  • Support and guide the development of the team and services to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients and their families.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registered Nurse (Child) / RNC qualification.
  • PILS Trained.
  • 2 Years' experience working in ED or acute medical admission area.
  • Ability to comprehensively assess children and a working knowledge of Manchester Triage.
  • Teaching/Mentorship qualification or working towards.
  • PILS trained.
  • 4 years post-registration experience.
