About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Performance Analyst to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Claims COO, you will play a vital role in tracking and analysing Claims Indemnity (Claims Cost) performance for our redesign programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality indemnity tracking across the Claims transformation programme, working closely with teams across change, finance, business Intelligence and analytics.
  • Build a deep understanding of claims data and its dynamics in relation to the end-to-end system, with a focus on total economics.
  • Support the timely and accurate population of tracking and performance metrics, providing high-quality, actionable insights based on data.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and problem-solving, demonstrating a curious mindset and producing high-quality presentations of analysis.
  • Support the creation of forecasts for programme benefits, ensuring that the impact of risks and opportunities on benefit trajectories is understood by delivery theme teams.
  • Collaborate with the claims finance team to translate lead operational indicator tracking into a P&L view, and be receptive to input and feedback.
  • Contribute to the improvement of overall data quality and governance within the claims function, working with project teams and operations to ensure consistency of data and understanding across different elements of tracking.

Requirements

  • Experience in a finance or actuarial role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent Excel modelling skills, with the ability to translate and manage complex formulas and interrogate large data sets.
  • Effective stakeholder management, with the ability to articulate performance effectively at both summary and detailed levels.

What We Offer

  • Circa £55,000 salary (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary, dependent on performance and Aviva's.
  • Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • Make your money go further – up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan, and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Brilliantly supportive policies, including parental and carer's leave.
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities, and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others.
