Technical Claims Expertise
At Direct Line Group, we're seeking a skilled Technical Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Property Claims team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional claims service and technical expertise to our customers.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the T&LL management team in delivering service and indemnity cost outcomes for large and complex losses. This will involve working closely with the team to develop and implement claims strategies, as well as providing technical guidance and advice to colleagues across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver claims savings, settlement cost performance, and large loss emergence to agreed targets.
- Manage claims servicing to meet or exceed SLA's and caseload/FTE targets.
- Engage and manage suppliers to ensure they adhere to policy and contracted terms.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to colleagues in other departments.
- Support the recruitment, performance management, and development of staff within the Commercial Property Claims team.
- Embed professional risk management as a key part of our culture.
Requirements
- Previous claims handling experience within Commercial is essential.
- Knowledge of Fraud and Investigation.
- Awareness of Insurance Principles & Practice.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and agreed SLA's.
- Experience of mentoring and coaching others.
