Roller Rink Attendant

Are you passionate about roller skating and providing exceptional customer service? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude? We're looking for a skilled Skate Marshal to join our team at Archie's Atomic
As a Skate Marshal, you'll be responsible for ensuring a safe and interactive environment for our guests. This includes conducting safety checks, providing skate safety briefings, and engaging with guests on the rink. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the rink and surrounding areas, as well as supporting our Front of House, Host, and Reception duties.
We're offering a competitive rate of £12.00 per hour, plus benefits such as 20 days annual leave, bank holidays, and a 30% employee discount for you and your friends. If you're a confident skater with a passion for roller skating and customer service, we'd love to hear from you
Responsibilities:- Conduct safety checks of the rink before opening to guests
- Clean guest areas and ensure cleanliness checks are consistent throughout the shift
- Welcome and check in guests
- Skate maintenance - ensure skates are clean and presentable, and that they are safe and fit for use
- Equipment - check skates and skating area have been cleaned and ready for use at the beginning and end of shift
- Brief guests on the benefits of using protective pads as they collect their skates and protective equipment
- Engage with guests and encourage them while they're on the rink, offering assistance when needed
- Ensure all guests leave wanting to return
- Support with Front of House, Host, and Reception duties
- Safety briefing - guests should be briefed and must have signed the waiver before check in
- Encourage and teach beginners how to skate upon entry to the rink, while observing all skaters during their sessions
- Promote safe skating and be quick to respond to any falls or incidents
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role in leisure venues or hospitality
- Knowledge of skate instruction and rink safety
- Be passionate about roller skating and a confident skater
- Have strong organisation skills
- Be guest satisfaction orientated
- A can-do attitude, a sharp eye for detail, and pride in your work
- Most of all, an enthusiasm for getting the job done
