Job Description

Job Title: Roller Rink Marshal

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Roller Rink Marshal to join our team at Archie's Atomic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while they experience the thrill of roller skating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough safety checks of the rink before opening to guests.
  • Clean and maintain the guest areas and ensure consistent cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Welcome and check in guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Perform skate maintenance, ensuring skates are clean, presentable, and safe for use.
  • Check and maintain equipment, ensuring the skating area is clean and ready for use at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Brief guests on the importance of wearing protective gear and provide assistance as needed.
  • Engage with guests, encourage them to have a great time, and offer assistance when required.
  • Ensure all guests leave with a positive experience and a desire to return.
  • Support Front of House, Host, and Reception duties as needed.
  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure guests sign waivers before participating.
  • Teach beginners how to skate and promote safe skating practices.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role in leisure venues or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of skate instruction and rink safety.
  • Passion for roller skating and confidence on the rink.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Guest satisfaction-oriented and a can-do attitude.
