About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Environmental Planning and Impact Assessment team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our UK-wide team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our EIA and wider impact assessment services, working closely with our specialist teams and clients across the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a team of environmental planners, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality impact assessments and EIA services.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to expand our services and portfolio of impact assessment projects in the energy sector and others.
  • Collaborate with our UK-wide team to identify opportunities for growth and development, and contribute to the development of our company's overall strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to inform our services and business decisions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Director or Senior Manager in environmental planning and impact assessment, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to develop and implement business strategies and manage budgets.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
