Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Underwriting Assistant to join our team at Aviva. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Trading Underwriter team to deliver policy management services to clients
  • Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvements
  • Deliver business-critical metrics to our management team
  • Take ownership of your development and growth in line with business strategy
  • Act on customer feedback and share ideas with managers and peers

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer outcomes
  • Good knowledge of IT systems, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
  • Previous underwriting experience is not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Experience in building and maintaining positive internal and external relationships
  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is desirable but not essential

  • Salary of Circa £26,000 (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
