Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Underwriting Assistant to join our team at Aviva. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Trading Underwriter team to deliver policy management services to clients.
- Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvements to enhance business efficiency.
- Develop and maintain business-important metrics to inform management decisions.
- Take ownership of personal development in line with business strategy.
- Act on customer feedback and share ideas with managers and peers.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer outcomes.
- Good knowledge of IT systems, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Previous underwriting experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships.
- Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is preferable but not essential.

- Salary of Circa £26,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 6% of annual salary (actual amount depends on performance and Aviva's).
