We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Human Resources and Talent Development to join our team.

Job Summary

The Head of Human Resources and Talent Development will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of all HR and talent development services across our client group of around 280. This is a highly respected business that offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented and ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of all HR and talent development services, including employee engagement and relations, resource planning, performance management, and coaching.
  • Lead a small team of HR professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of HR services.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR plans that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that HR services are aligned with business needs.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR leadership, with a track record of successfully managing people projects from end to end.
  • Direct experience of leading an entire HR function of at least 4 people.
  • Clear strategic thinking and the ability to stay hands-on across the HR services spectrum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise comfortably at all levels.
  • MCIPD Level 7 or FCIPD qualification is highly desirable.

What We Offer

Starbuck James Ltd offers a competitive basic salary of circa £65,000, plus a good pension scheme. The role is home-based with weekly trips to Oxford and occasional trips to London and Edinburgh. We require a UK passport or permanent settled status in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
