Public Health Lead

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Lead to join our dedicated team.
As the Public Health Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering public health strategies that improve the well-being of our communities. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, collaborating with stakeholders across various sectors, and driving impactful initiatives to address key public health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive public health programs aligned with national guidelines and local needs.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify emerging health trends and inform evidence-based interventions.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on public health matters, influencing policy development and resource allocation.
- Foster strong partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
- Effectively communicate complex public health information to diverse audiences, including the general public, policymakers, and media outlets.
- Master's degree or higher in Public Health or a related field.
- Extensive experience in public health program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience in research and publication within the public health domain.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing public health.
- Membership in professional organizations related to public health.
