Lead Critical Care Nurse

Position Overview
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Critical Care Nurse to enhance our dynamic nursing team within the Acute Intensive Care Unit.
This unit is equipped to deliver both Level 2 and Level 3 care within a 19-bed critical care environment, catering to over 900 patients annually across various specialties, including but not limited to: Burns, Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthoplastics, Respiratory, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Urology.
We are looking for an energetic and experienced nursing professional who is committed to providing exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will join a supportive and innovative team that values collaboration and forward-thinking approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Applicants must demonstrate a strong team-oriented mindset, a robust work ethic, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care. Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of nurses and supporting the management of the unit.
- Contributing to the development of our services and demonstrating leadership capabilities in a challenging critical care setting.
- Providing mentorship and support to nursing staff.
Successful candidates should possess substantial post-registration experience, primarily within Adult Critical Care, along with a relevant Critical Care qualification. All applicants must currently be engaged in Critical Care practice.
