Adult Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join our team at Southwark Council. As a key member of our Older People's Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social care services to adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out statutory duties in relation to adults, adhering to Directorate policies and procedures.
  • Manage a caseload under the supervision of the Team Manager.
  • Conduct social work tasks in collaboration with other professionals to assess adult needs and deliver personalized care packages.
  • Develop expertise in working with older adults, including those with mental health issues and physical disabilities.
  • Develop special interests according to need, demand, and service priorities.
  • Establish and maintain links with statutory, voluntary, and community agencies.
  • Participate in the duty system during office hours on a rota basis.
  • Ensure effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Hold a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work degree, or equivalent).
