Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Older Adults Team at Hillingdon Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking statutory Care Act Assessments with Older People, clients with Physical Disabilities, and supporting the achievement of performance targets while reducing waiting times for new referrals.
The role will also involve holding long-term cases that are complex in nature, including hoarding, non-engagers, DoLS challenges, and court of protection work.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Social Worker looking to progress their career or an accomplished Senior Social Worker with a wide range of experience working with Older Adults and/or People with Disabilities.
They will have developed their skills and knowledge with further post-qualifying training and have specific experience with the relevant client group.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to work as part of a team, build strong relationships, and deliver the best possible outcomes for vulnerable people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake statutory Care Act Assessments with Older People and clients with Physical Disabilities
- Support the achievement of performance targets while reducing waiting times for new referrals
- Hold long-term cases that are complex in nature, including hoarding, non-engagers, DoLS challenges, and court of protection work
- Complete six-week reviews, Mental Capacity Assessments, Continuing Healthcare assessments, and progression of Safeguarding cases
Requirements:
- Qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker
- Wide range of experience working with Older Adults and/or People with Disabilities
- Developed skills and knowledge with further post-qualifying training
- Specific experience with the relevant client group
