Job Title: Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Older Adults Team at Hillingdon Council.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking statutory Care Act Assessments with Older People, clients with Physical Disabilities, and helping to achieve performance targets while reducing waiting times for new referrals.

The post holder will also manage long-term cases that are complex in nature, including hoarding, non-engagers, DoLS challenges, and court of protection work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake statutory Care Act Assessments with Older People and clients with Physical Disabilities
  • Help achieve performance targets while reducing waiting times for new referrals
  • Manage long-term cases that are complex in nature, including hoarding, non-engagers, DoLS challenges, and court of protection work
  • Complete six-week reviews, Mental Capacity Assessments, Continuing Healthcare assessments, and progression of Safeguarding cases
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified, experienced Social Worker who is looking to progress their career or an accomplished Senior Social Worker with a wide range of experience working with Older Adults and/or People with Disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have developed their skills and knowledge with further post-qualifying training and have specific experience with the relevant client group.
